Title

Personal Companion- A emotion enabled Artificially intelligent assistant

Abstract

This paper discusses an approach for developing a personal assistant centered around emotion recognition. It elucidates the methodology for identifying and understanding user emotions. In a landscape already saturated with personal assistants and chatbots, we have taken a significant leap forward by empowering our assistant to autonomously recognize user emotions. This advancement imbues our assistant with empathy, enhancing user experiences with increased enjoyment and practical benefits. We used advanced computer techniques to do this. We taught our computer program by showing it lots of pictures of people with different emotions. It was really hard to make our program work accurately because tiny changes in how people's faces look can mean very different feelings. To make it work better, we found a big collection of pictures to teach our program, and that helped a lot. Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies are rapidly emerging with new and complex features. Even though these technologies are widely available, some people hesitate to use them. Research on technology adoption has been ongoing for many years, with various general models available. However, we believe that for emerging technologies, like AI, custom models tailored to their specific features are needed. In our study, we developed a new model that focuses on "interaction quality," a concept we think better explains the adoption of AI-based technologies.
