A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consists of multiple wireless nodes positioned to monitor environmental conditions. These networks are essential in various sectors such as defense, banking, and education, requiring efficient and secure data sharing. Two critical concerns in WSNs are node authentication and data communication security. Node authentication ensures that participating nodes verify their identities. The proposed method enhances node authentication using SHA-256 codes generated from fingerprints and random images. For data communication security, secure authentication keys from the sender and receiver form the communication key. The strength of this communication key is validated using various tools, showing superior strength compared to previous methods.
