In butterflies and other insect groups, it is common knowledge that the adult females choose the food sources for the juvenile stages. The present study reports new larval food plant of Neptis jumbah Moore, [1858] (Nymhalidae Lepidoptera). The eggs and young larvae were observed on Bauhinia acuminata (L.). It is a member of the Fabaceae (Papilionaceae) plant family. Typically, it is referred to as the White Orchid Tree. In controlled and field settings, the life cycle of the Chestnut-Streaked Sailer was also investigated. The life cycle takes 21–32 days to complete.
