Metal complex equilibrium is estimated promisingly with the help of measuring the solution potential. Here we investigate the stability constant of Metformin Hydrochloride drug with transition metal ions Co(II) ,Ni(II), and Cu(II),using PH metric measurement in 80% (v/v) ethanol- water mixture at 27 0C, at an ionic strength of 0.1M NaClO4. Calvin and Bjerrum as modified by Irving and Rossotti method have been used to determine metal-ligand stability constant (logK) values. It is observed that a transition metal ion forms 1:2 complexes. The thermodynamic parameter ∆G, ∆H and ∆S were calculated from values of stability constant at different temperatures.
