This manuscript examines the evolutionary processes underpinning plant speciation and their impact on global biodiversity. Focusing on mechanisms such as allopatric, sympatric, and parapatric speciation, as well as polyploidy and reproductive isolation, this study synthesizes empirical and theoretical insights to highlight the drivers of plant diversification. The paper also explores how speciation shapes ecological niches and promotes adaptive radiation, contributing to the rich diversity observed across biomes. Findings underscore the importance of habitat heterogeneity, genetic drift, and gene flow in facilitating speciation and sustaining plant diversity.
