Abstract: This paper examines the potential long-term consequences of parental divorce on children's mental health and well-being in adulthood. Drawing on existing research and exploring the moderating roles of family dynamics and coping mechanisms, the study investigates the link between childhood divorce and increased risk of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse, as well as its impact on self-esteem and social relationships. The paper showcases the complex interplay of individual experiences, family dynamics, and coping strategies in shaping mental health outcomes. Ultimately, the study underscores the importance of recognizing the potential long-term effects of parental divorce and highlights the need for targeted interventions and support systems to promote resilience and well-being in adulthood.
