Seizure is an uncontrolled neurological disturbance in brain. Electroencephalogram (EEG) which records the electrical activities of the brain can be used to identify an epileptic seizure. EEG signals are non-stationary and non-linear in nature which makes their analysis difficult. This work is based on classification of EEG epilepsy signals of ictal, interictal, preictal through emprical mode decomposition (EMD) method. The EMD technique decomposes EEG signals to intrinsic mode functions (IMF). Classification of EEG epilepsy signal is done by obtaining IMFs of each signal of ictal, preictal, and inter ictal.
