The study presented to form an opinion “as an act carried out by the male spouse against his wife with an intention of hurting the other”. For the purpose of analysis Domestic violence has been divided into Physical, Psychological, Verbal, Economical, Emotional and Sexual type. One resort to such acts with an intention of harming or making the spouse uneasy. The study has taken up in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh with the sample of 300 women who are registered in domestic cell at Women and Child development department, Kadapa.
