Micronutrient deficiency is a significant challenge affecting banana cultivation worldwide, leading to reduced yield and quality. Traditional methods for detecting nutrient deficiencies in plants are often labor-intensive and time-consuming. In recent years, image processing techniques have emerged as a promising tool for early detection and monitoring of plant health. This paper provides a comprehensive review of existing literature on the application of image processing for identifying micronutrient deficiencies in banana plants. Various methodologies, algorithms, and technologies used in image processing for this purpose are discussed, along with their advantages and limitations. Additionally, key findings from relevant studies are summarized, highlighting the progress made in this field and identifying areas for future research.
