Abstract
The concept of sterilization is very much important not only in the field of surgery but also in the management of wounds, conducting minor surgical procedures etc. The failure in the management of sterilization can lead to many complications which will again lead to further surgeries ,amputations etc. So the sterilization concept, asepsis antisepsis should be followed by every person in and out of the operation theatre and wards.The concept of sterilization was mentioned in our ancient classics but not in one whole chapter but is scattered in the different chapters.
