Title

A Review on Agnikarma in Janu Sandhigatavata

Abstract

Gati in Samskrutam means movement . Vata is the predominant dosha in Asthi Dhatu according to ashraya ashrayi bhava. Gata vata depictes the movement of vata which has affected the Rikta srotas along with Shleshma causing Sandhi gata vata. Agnikarma is one of the indicated treatment procedure in Osteoarthritis which has proven the efficacy until date. The objective of this review is to evaluate the probable mode of action of Mrittika Shalaka in the management of Janu Sandhigata vata.
