Title

SYNTHESIS AND CIE CHROMATICITY OF Ce3+ ACTIVATED gdpo4 PHOSPHORS

Abstract

In the present work, Ce3+- activated GdPO4 phosphors were synthesized by the solid-state reaction method. Gadolinium orthophosphate (GdPO4) phosphors are used as multimodal agents and are beneficial for optoelectronic and biomedical applications. The present investigation focused on the CIE chromaticity diagram of the Ce-doped GdPO4 phosphor, which was obtained with the help of the PL emission spectrum using the photo-luminescent data and CIE software. The result revealed that the luminescence colors of GdPO4:Ce3+ phosphor are found in the yellowish-green region.
