Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized by disruptions in thought processes, perceptions, and emotional responsiveness. It often involves symptoms such as hallucination, delusion, disorganized thinking, and impaired social functioning. Perceived burden among primary caregivers of individuals with schizophrenia refers to the subjective sense of strain, stress, or difficulty experienced by those who provide ongoing care and support to someone diagnosed with schizophrenia. This burden can manifest in various wats including emotional, financial and social challenges, and it reflects the impact of the caregiving role on the well-being and quality of life of the caregivers.
