This research paper gives a brief on the evolution of privacy in India. It includes the condition of privacy in ancient India, what were the views of the people at that time and was privacy given importance or not. It also provides an overview on the discussion carried during the framing of our constitution on whether to include privacy as a Fundamental Right or not followed by all the cases after the framing of Constitution that led to the landmark case of Justice Puttaswamy. It also contains a detailed analysis of the Puttaswamy Judgement. This paper basically provides all the necessary details about how privacy got its Fundamental status in the Constitution and status of privacy in the past and present. This paper covers all the relevant details about evolution of privacy in one single document.
