The study has been carried out to evaluate the steep rise in the testing of construction materials in India due to ever increasing demand of concrete from the infrastructure as well as the real estate sector. There are lots of material testing labs (MTL) that do not attain there desired goals due to the poor quality testing performance and manufacturing lead time. This study aims to identify and analyze the major quality factors for material testing lab at Indore. The feedback of laboratory identified with customer and students satisfaction survey which is ranked using relative important index (RII) scale. The research is to demonstrate the use of Six Sigma and lean Six Sigma methodologies in quality of concrete and lead time measurement with DMAIC approach in MTL lab at Indore. The existing sigma level of the laboratory has been found to be 2.03, it shows poor level of laboratory. In order to validate manufacturing and testing system’s current status, improvement potential and solutions, statistical tools such as excel state software and linear regression analysis were used. This ensured that all decisions were based on actual data. As a result of this study a set of solution were developed.
