Title

DELHI AIR POPLLUTION MODELLING USING REMOTE SENSING AND GIS

Abstract

Like many megacities, Delhi deals with a serious problem: air pollution. This study investigates the possibilities of using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing to model the city's air quality. In particular, the paper looks at how to estimate concentrations of important pollutants, like fine particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), using satellite data from platforms such as Landsat 8. This remotely sensed data will be integrated using GIS with data from ground-based monitoring and other pertinent variables like meteorology and land use.
