Abstract Organ donation and research are two interconnected aspects of healthcare. Organ donation serves as a crucial source of biological material for medical research, providing researchers with access to human organs, tissues, and cells that are essential for studying diseases, testing new treatments, and advancing medical knowledge. Donated organs affected by specific diseases offer researchers the opportunity to study the underlying mechanisms of these diseases at a molecular, cellular, and organ level. This deeper understanding can lead to the development of more effective diagnostic tools, therapies, and preventive measures. This information is crucial for the development of personalized medicine approaches that tailor medical interventions to the unique characteristics of each patient, ultimately improving treatment outcomes and patient care.
