Title

Identification Of Road Deterioration Entities Using IOT For Better Navigation

Abstract

This project offers an innovative IoT-based system designed for quick detection of traffic hazards, focusing on potholes and speed bumps, taking into account the developing concern for traffic safety. The system uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller, an accelerometer, an ultrasonic sensor, a motor controller, a 12V rechargeable battery, a buzzer, a motor, a GPS module, and a GSM module to produce an insolent and networked traffic safety structure. An ultrasonic sensor measures the depth of road irregularities, which allows potholes to be rightly detected. In addition, the accelerometer detects differences in speed by detecting sudden differences in acceleration. The Arduino Uno processes the received data and creates the necessary answers. The driver-controlled engine mimics the answer of the vehicle's suspension and provides the driver with real-time feedback on speed differences and bumps. In addition, a buzzer is activated to warn the driver, which increases his overall safety awareness. Integrated GPS and GSM modules allow the ability to a central server for data storage and analysis. When a traffic hazard is detected, the system uses the exact location coordinates of the GPS module to send real-time SMS messages to the selected emergency impart. In addition, the system includes a navigation mission that helps the driver avoid perceived dangers, making the journey easy and safer. The 12 V rechargeable battery secures system autonomy and continuous operation, so it is being used in various conditions. In addition to improving traffic safety, the forward solution promotes the improvement of insolent traffic systems to improve traffic management and driver assistance through speed control and pothole detection.
