Title

To Study and Design the Speed Control of Induction Motor Using Plc S7 1200

Abstract

This paper is emphasizes the importance of process automation in industries for enhancing quality, increasing production, and reducing costs. It underscores the crucial role of variable speed drives in controlling motors within automation systems. The primary objective is to monitor and regulate the speed of an induction motor under various operational conditions using a programmable logic controller (PLC). The paper highlights the significant advancements in creating efficient and reliable variable speed drive systems due to the evolution of power electronic devices and advanced PLC technology. It highlights the significance of variable speed drives in controlling motors in automation systems. The objective of the work is to monitor and control the speed of an induction motor under various operating conditions using programmable logic controller (PLC). Through hardware system design and software programming, the control unit of the system handles signal acquisition, logic control, and communication tasks. Experimental results demonstrate a significant reduction in power consumption, showcasing the energy-saving benefits of the new control system. The system's ability to adjust the motor's speed based on predefined parameters contributes to improved energy efficiency and operational performance. Overall, the multi-speed motor control system offers a simple and effective solution for enhancing energy efficiency, reliability, and stability in motor applications, making it a valuable tool for industries seeking to optimize their motor control systems.
