Title
A Study of Sponge occurrence and Water parameters of some lakes around Dombivli.
Abstract
Sponges are invertebrate fauna which are known to play ecological role in freshwater ecosystem. Their occurrence depends on various ecological factors such as oxygen content, pH and the nutrients in the water body. This paper presents a comparative study of sponge occurrence and water parameters of some lakes around Dombivli. The study revealed the pollution level and thus the need for conservation of lakes.
