Title

THE EFFECT OF SOLUTIONIZING ON THE HARDNESS AND WEAR RATE OF THE ALUMINUM ALLOY COMPOSITE USING TAGUCHI-DEAR OPTIMIZATION

Abstract

The study investigates how Taguchi experimental design-directed hardening heating treatment affects the hardness and wear rate of Al alloy. By optimizing heat treatment through Taguchi-DEAR approach, factors like temperature, time, and cooling rate are examined for better properties. Al alloys are crucial for land-based systems, so optimizing heat treatment is vital for improved wear and hardness performance. The Taguchi-DEAR method enhances efficiency, reducing time and resource usage compared to traditional methods. Results show a 20% increase in hardness and 35% decrease in wear compared to traditional treatments, indicating improved microstructure. These findings benefit industry in designing high-performance Al alloy components, ensuring longer service life and faultless engineering parts like gears, rivets, and fasteners.
