DETERMINATION OF PARTIAL AND TOTAL IONIZATION CROSS SECTIONS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CATIONS IN ELECTRON-ASTATINE COLLISION

Abstract

Partial ionization cross sections corresponding to the production of cations Atq+ (q=1- 5) in the electron impact ionization of At have been calculated using a modified Jain-Khare semi-empirical formalism. As no previous experimental and/ or theoretical data is available for comparison, we have derived the partial and total ionization cross-sections with energies varying from ionization thresholds to 2800 eV
