Title

Fallopian tubal block- Ayurveda unravels way for Non-surgical restoration – A case Series

Abstract

Infertility is inability of a couple to achieve conception after one year of unprotected coitus. One of the most frequent causes of female infertility is tubal obstruction. About 25–35% of female infertility is attributed to it. The available options for treatment are tubal reconstructive surgery and Invitro-fertilization(IVF) both of which are comparatively difficult to accept by the patients. In Ayurveda, four factors i.e. Ritu, kshetra, ambu, beej are essential for establishing Garbha. Any abnormality in any one of these factors can heavily contribute for the Infertility (Vandhyatva ). Tubal factor is considered under Garbhasambhavakshetra. Among three of our patients, two had PCOD with Tubal block and 3rd case was Tubal block postectopic pregnancy. Depending on their naidanik parikshan, yogas adviced were Kuberaksha vati, Triphala guggulu, Aloes compound, Tab.Leptaden, Cap. UTE-D and Phalghruta.. Alongside of oral medicines, our Acharyas have also referred to administer Sthanikchikitsa in patients whenever required. Uttar Basti is the most efficient Sthanik mode of management to enhance the quality of Kshetra whether effected by Doshas or not. The effect of Phalghrut, kshartail and kasisaditail in fallopian tubal blockage is noted in this case series. There were no adverse effects found during the course of said treatment.
