Simulation of traffic signals at unsignalised intersection

Abstract

In the realm of urban transportation, effective traffic management is paramount for ensuring smooth mobility and mitigating congestion. Traffic simulation software, particularly VISSIM, stands out as a powerful tool for analysing, predicting, and optimizing traffic flow dynamics. This abstract provides a succinct overview of the utilization of VISSIM software in simulating traffic scenarios and its implications for enhancing urban mobility. The abstract commences with a brief introduction to the significance of traffic simulation in modern urban planning and transportation engineering. It delineates the challenges associated with urban traffic management and highlights the pivotal role of simulation software in addressing these challenges. In essence, this abstract provides a concise yet comprehensive overview of traffic simulation utilizing VISSIM software, underscoring its significance, methodologies, applications, and future directions in enhancing urban mobility and transportation efficiency. This paper includes the study of Dharmaraj Circle, knowing the traffic conditions at this intersection we have simulated it using the VISSIM software.
