The project aims to formulate and evaluate a mosquito repellent and moisturizing lotion. Mosquitoes, key vectors of tropical diseases like malaria, filariasis, dengue, and chikungunya, are deterred by repellents applied to exposed skin. Lemon grass and neem oil are effective natural repellents due to their essential oils and azadirachtin content, respectively. Combining these with a moisturizing lotion, which helps maintain the skin's moisture barrier, offers a dual benefit. Essential oils, known for their strong odor and repellent properties, provide a natural solution against mosquitoes. This study explores the potential of plant extracts as environmentally safe and biodegradable mosquito control agents.
