Herbal remedies have been extensively studied, and current science recognizes plants as a source of biodynamic components. Scientific research has led to the development of legitimate medications from traditional remedies. The recorded history of diabetics is as ancient as the Vedas. It was known as a madhu meha- madhu implies nectar, and meha implies to pass out through the pee. Diabetes mellitus (DM), the advanced title, has nearly a comparable meaning. Murraya koenigii is a traditionally used medicinal plant having immense pharmacological applications. Many parts of the plant have been utilized completely or as an adjuvant in treatment of malaria, diabetes, diarrhea and hypertension. The fruit of the plant is used as a powerful anti- hyperglycemic drug. The seed oil is being used as an alternative body ointment therapy for a range of skin cuts, itches and wounds to ameliorate the healing process in African countries. Decoction of bark is used to increase appetite, as energizer in case of tuberculosis, to treat anemia, diarrhea, dysentery, fever and toothache. The decoction of leaf is used to treat nerve disorders, the infusion of seed to relieve chest pain. Murraya koenigii seeds have potential in controlling amoebiasis, coughs and intestinal parasitism.
