Title

Transformational Leadership and Teacher’s Well-being in the Division of Lanao del Norte: Basis for School Improvement Plan

Abstract

Transformational Leadership and Teacher’s Well-being plays a significant role in this study. Specifically, it sought to determine 1. the level of school heads transformational leadership, 2. the level of teacher’s well-being, and 3. the significant relationship between the school heads transformational leadership and teacher’s well-being in Linamon and Kauswagan Districts during the School Year 2023-2024. A descriptive correlational research method was used in the study to explore the teachers’ characteristics, transformational leadership and teacher’s well-being among the two hundred four (204) teacher respondents. The researcher used universal sampling, and adapted and modified questionnaires were employed as the main data-gathering tools in identifying and establishing the relationships between and among the variables. The researcher used statistical tools such as the percentage, frequency, mean and standard deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation (r) to determine the significant relationship between transformational leadership and teacher’s well-being and the significant difference between teacher’s well-being and their characteristics. The findings of the study revealed that overall transformational leadership was High Level. It also showed that the level of Teacher’s Well-being was High. Moreover, the level of transformational leadership and the well-being of teachers have a significant correlation except for Intellectual Stimulation. It was concluded that the key behaviors of transformational leadership except intellectual stimulation significantly contribute to teacher’s well-being The study recommends that school heads should embrace transformational leadership since it fosters a supportive and empowering environment that significantly enhances teachers' well-being and teachers should actively seek out various opportunities for professional development to enhance their teaching skills, fostering continuous growth and improvement in their profession.
