With changing times, distance education has made constant changes in its nature, and after the arrival of the Information Revolution, there has been a lot of change in the purpose and medium of education in the form of distance learning. In today's time, technology is providing many opportunities in the field of distance learning, which is being used all over the world. With the advent of web 2.0 technologies, there has been a revolution in the world of online networks. These social networking sites, which are an important part of Web 2.0 technology, have become very popular. Social networking sites are very useful for students of distance learning who are away from their peer groups and teachers in terms of place and time. With the help of these technologies, distance learners can collaborate with academic activities, communication, knowledge sharing etc. Social media provides an accessible tool for students under which students can balance their academics and their role in social context. Social media is a self-awareness and educational tool for distance learners. It plays a vital role in every bodies life whether the person is a student or teacher. Through social media it became easy for students to ask, search, conversed so that gets a proper answer. Social media tools are becoming increasingly popular for providing distance learning.
