Social inequality can be based on many factors, including: Ethnicity, Gender, Identity, and Health differences. Social inequality can be seen in the disparities between those who are disadvantaged or marginalized and those who hold positions of power. Social stratification refers to a society's categorization of its people into rankings based on factors like wealth, income, education, family background, and power. Social exclusion is a multidimensional process of progressive social rupture, detaching groups and individuals from social relations and institutions and preventing them from full participation in the normal, normatively prescribed activities of the society in which they live.
