The current study is an attempt to find out the awareness level and preference of investors towards the green investment products in India. The current study relied on the quantitative methodology through a structured questionnaire survey of retail investors. The results of the study proved that there is an acceptable level of awareness amongst retail investors toward green investment products. The results also indicated that in spite of awareness, investors are not inclined to invest in green investments due to perceived lower returns, regulatory risks and unsure of impact measurement. The research also indicated that investors are willing to shift towards green investment products if they are incentivized.
