Title

Eco-friendly Synthesis of Substitutedindole

Abstract

Fruit juices play an important role as renewable sources of catalyst to carried out chemical reactions by eco-friendly method, reducing the dependency on chemical reagents. Organic substances found in some fruit juices can behave as precursors, biocatalyst or reactants in chemical processes. Fruit juices are being used in synthesis of heterocyclic compounds due to non-hazardous, readily available and cost-effective nature. Recently we synthesized 6-N-(H/substitutedthiocarbamido)aminoindole by interaction of 6-chloroindole and various sustitutedthiourea with help of pineapple juice in presence of sunlight. The current methodology has several advantages, including gentle reaction conditions, affordable catalysts, quick work-up, and moderate to outstanding yields.
