Abstract

School Heads’ Leadership Practices and Teachers’ Work Behavior plays a significant role in this study. Specifically, it sought to determine 1. the level of school heads’ leadership practices 2. the level of teachers’ work behavior and 3. the significant relationship between school heads’ leadership practices and teachers work behavior in Linamon, Kauswagan, and Bacolod Districts during the School Year 2023-2024. A descriptive correlational research method was used in the study to explore the teachers’ characteristics, school heads’ leadership practices and teachers’ work behavior among the two hundred fifty (250) teacher respondents. The researcher used purposive sampling, and adapted and modified questionnaires were employed as the main data-gathering tools in identifying and establishing the relationships between and among the variables. The researcher used statistical tools such as the percentage, frequency, mean and standard deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation to determine the significant relationship between school heads’ leadership practices and teachers’ work behavior and the significant difference between teachers’ work behavior and their characteristics. The findings of the study revealed that overall school heads’ leadership practices were Very High Level. It also showed that the level of teachers’ work behavior was Positive. The study recommends that school heads should prioritize initiatives aimed at enhancing leadership practices that positively influence teachers' work behavior and should consider implementing targeted professional development programs and support mechanisms to address the specific needs and challenges faced by teachers.
