Medicines are prepared from a single plant or combination of more than one plant. Phytochemical constituents are responsible for medicinal activity of plant species. Hence in the present study Phytochemical screening of some traditional medicinal plants was carried out. Qualitative Phytochemical analysis of these plants confirm the presence of various secondary metabolites like Saponins, Triterpenoids, steroids, alkaloids, Flavonoids and Phenols. Quantitative phytochemical analysis of these plants confirm the presence of various secondary metabolites like Alkaloids, Tannins , Phenolic compounds, and Flavonoids . The results indicate that the Phytochemical properties for curing various aliments and posses potential Anti-oxidants, Anti-inflammatory, Anti-Microbial and leads to the isolation of new and novel compounds, it is also used in various Pharmaceuticas in India
