Natural remedies are more acceptable in the belief that they are safer with fewer side effects than the synthetic ones. Herbal formulations have growing demand in the world market. A facewash can be used as part of a skin care regimen together with a toner and moisturizer. Face wash is the products which are used to cleanse face without drying it out. Face wash is also commonly known as “cleanser”. Various researches have been proved utility of herbal based formulations for cleaning purpose which also removes excess oil; considering this fact the present work was intended to face wash gel which has anti-microbial property. The present work deals with the formulation & evaluation of the herbal polyherb face wash containing aqueous extract of fenugreek seeds [Trigonella foenum-graecum L.] and Ginseng [Panax Ginseng].The plants have been reported in the literature having good anti-microbial and anti-bacterial property. Prepared formulation was evaluated for various parameters like physical parameters colour, odour, consistency, pH, viscosity, spreadability, washability, foamability, stability study etc.
