Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition marked by difficulties in social communication, repetitive behaviours, and heightened sensory sensitivities. In India, approximately 1 in 68 children is affected by ASD (National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities [NIEPMD], 2021), driving an increased demand for specialized mental health services. This study examines the effectiveness of a targeted training workshop designed for mental health practitioners, including Clinical Psychologists, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists. Through pre- and post-workshop assessments, the study measured changes in participants' knowledge and competence in managing individuals with ASD. The workshop, which covered theoretical knowledge, assessment techniques, and evidence-based interventions, led to significant improvements in participants' understanding and preparedness. These results highlight the critical need for specialized training to enhance the capability of practitioners in managing ASD effectively.
