The present study is an attempt to investigate the gender and locale difference of school students.For this purpose sample of the current study comprised of 200 students studying in 9th class of government school from Sangrur and Patiala district of Punjab four schools from this district were selected on random by making up list of urban and rural school students and further dived into two categories boys and girls. The first group had 100 urban school students having 50 boys and 50 girls. The other group consisted of 100 rural school students having 50 boys and girls and the standardized tool for Social Intelligence were employed to them. significant gender difference found on the basis of social intelligence of male and female school students and significant difference between scores of social intelligence of urban and rural school students.
