Title

Exploring The Role Of Window Views On Faculty Well-being And Productivity In Educational Institutions

Abstract

The importance of well-being in academic settings is often underestimated, but it is crucial to address this issue. It is essential to prioritize the health and job satisfaction of educators who carry heavy workloads to provide high-quality education effectively. This study aims to investigate how views through the window affect faculty well-being and productivity in educational institutions. We conducted the study at two different settings on a university campus, and we found that individuals highly value the positive effects of window views on their overall well-being, stress management, and job satisfaction. Natural light and scenic views significantly improve mood, reduce stress, and enhance productivity, making windows an important asset in office environments. To optimize the well-being and productivity of employees, it is essential to incorporate nature, adequate lighting, ventilation, and soundproofing measures in office design.
