Title

A critical analysis of teaching through distance learning system in Indian classical music.

Abstract

Abstract -: Since the Vedic era, India has had a rich history of music education. In the past, the Guru Kul system was the sole way to receive music education. Subsequently, the Gharana system emerged during the middle Ages. The music that has made its way down to us today has been passed down orally from generation to generation. The advancement of technology in the modern period has brought about changes in music instruction as well. Owing to the growing population of today, technology's significance in education has completely changed a number of facets of our life. The resources of today are being used to teach Gurmukhi arts, such as music. Distance education is becoming increasingly necessary for the nation's brightest music students in the modern day. The internet's accessibility and the mobile revolution have created significant opportunities for this. The distance education system is an effective system for delivering high-quality education that cuts across regional barriers. This Research paper will examine the possibilities of online learning in the subject of music education, emphasizing its advantages, drawbacks, and possible applications for both instructors and students. This critical analysis focuses on the effectiveness and challenges of teaching Indian classical music through distance education systems
