Title

ASSESSING FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF NTPC LIMITED THROUGH PROFITABILITY AND EFFICIENCY

Abstract

This article explores the evolution of India's power sector, emphasizing NTPC Limited, one of the largest energy conglomerates in India. Established in 1975, NTPC has significantly shaped India's energy landscape with a diversified portfolio in coal, gas, solar, hydro, and wind power. Through a quantitative analysis of financial data from 2014-2023, this study assesses NTPC's profitability and efficiency in asset utilization, providing insights into its operational and financial performance. The findings underscore NTPC's consistent contributions to India's electricity generation, efficiency in resource management, and strategic initiatives toward sustainable and cleaner energy solutions.
