Title

“Schiff base derived metal based foundation as an efficient biological and waste water treatment agent”

Abstract

The condensation reaction between N,N’-dicarbamothioylbenzene-1,4-dicarboxamide and Malonic acid give rise to synthesis of noval hydrazone ligand (CTFB-L). The ligand was then subjected to co-ordinate with a series of transition metals viz. Cr(III), Mn(III) and Ti(III) to obtain respective transition metal complexes. All the prepared compounds i.e. ligand and metal complexes were evaluated and identified by various spectral and analytical techniques like UV, FTIR, IH-NMR, 13C-NMR, Mass spectroscopy etc. Further, antimicrobial and antioxidant activities were evaluated to find the effect of synthesized compounds on microbes and on oxidative free radicals respectively and results were found tremendously satisfactory. Moreover, all the compounds were found to exhibit the efficiency of waste water treatment when tested for photocatalytic activity and removal of metals from waste water.
