The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector has become a vital component of the Indian economy, known for its resilience and role in job creation and industrial growth in underdeveloped areas. With 63 million enterprises, covering 80% of industrial activities, contributing 31% to GDP, and accounting for 45% of exports, MSMEs significantly impact India's economic landscape. Tamil Nadu is a notable contributor, hosting 15.7% of the nation's MSMEs and generating products worth Rs 32,008 crore in 2020-21. This study aims to analyse MSME performance in Tamil Nadu using Annual Growth Rate (AGR), Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), and trend analysis. Previous research has highlighted the effects of capital investment, employment levels, and COVID-19 disruptions on MSMEs, revealing both challenges and adaptive strategies. This research will enhance understanding of the sector's performance and its economic role.
