Land is an important resource provided by the nature to human beings. The most important things that land provides for human survival are food, housing and other natural resources. The different uses of land and its distributed panorama is called land use pattern. Land is essential for supporting economics activities such as forestry, mining and agriculture along with animal husbandry. India is considered as an agricultural dominated country and the majority of the populate obtain their livelihood from agriculture and land provide the base for agricultural activities. The present study analysis the spatial distributional pattern of the land use in Bundelkhand Region of Uttar Pradesh. Bundelkhand region is high and hilly hence the land use pattern become very important. Present land use pattern of this area reflects the regions natural endowment. For the purpose secondary data have been used and presented through the cartographic techniques. Land use pattern of the region shows that about 14.64 percent of the total land is under forest in Bundelkhand region. The proportion of land not available for cultivation and other uncultivated land is 10.67 and 18.73 percent respectively while Bundelkhand shares about only 11.35 percent of the net sown area and 9.74 percent of the gross cropped area.
