Gold is one of the most precious yellow metals consist chemical element which is a valuable, shiny, in nature which were used to make coins, gems and jewellery. This article is about explaining the problems faced by jewellers in Latur City and provide some suggestion for overcoming these obstacles. There are different challenges faced by jewellers, such as meeting the customer’s expectation for new designs, Fulfilling the Government norms regarding BIS Hallmarking, Problems of Goldsmith skilled workers, Competition from the rival units and the branded outlets such as Tanishq, Kisna, Orra, etc., frequent gold rate fluctuations, availabilities of imitation jewelleries as a good substitute, customers expectation regarding credit, customers retention, Inventory management of gold. Etc, are some of the major problems faced by jewellers. Now a days it is commonly observed that, millennial peoples are preferring imitation jewellery instead of precious gold jewellery for several reasons such as low risk of lost and theft, cost saving, opportunity to change with new designs frequently, etc. Present study, was purely based on primary data collected from the jeweller respondents. Total 90 respondents are selected for the same study.
