Title

The Role of Emotional Intelligence and Self-Awareness in Enhancing Academic Achievement

Abstract

The major purpose of this research is to examining how self-awareness and emotional intelligence (EI) affect students' grades or academic success. Academic success is positively correlated with emotional intelligence, which is defined as the ability to recognize, manage, and constructively use one's emotions, according to research. Similarly, improving one's learning strategies and stress management skills necessitates self-awareness, which is defined as the capacity to understand one's own strengths, weaknesses, and emotional reactions. An ethnically and educationally diverse group of one hundred students participated in the research. Information was collected by means of a meticulously designed survey. Results showed a strong positive association between EQ, self-awareness, and scholastic success. The regression analysis demonstrated that emotional intelligence was responsible for 21.3% of the variation in academic achievement, whereas self-awareness accounted for 7.7%. These findings highlight the need of cultivating socio-emotional abilities to improve academic achievements. The study offers valuable insights for educators and students regarding the benefits of cultivating emotional intelligence and self-awareness in order to enhance learning experiences and boost academic success.
