Title

FORMULATION AND EVALUATION BAUHINIA RACEMOSA EMULGEL AND EXPLORING ITS ANTIMICROBIAL AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY

Abstract

Emulgel is the term for the dosage form that is created when gels and emulsions are mixed. The application of innovative polymers has attracted a lot of attention lately. The skin can be directly accessed as a target organ for diagnostics and treatment, which makes dermatological pharmacology unique. Bauhinia Racemosa Lam with drooping branches, is a tiny, bushy, crooked, deciduous tree that can thrive in extremely challenging climates. The purpose of this study is to present B. racemosa's traditional applications, phytochemicals, and pharmacological activity while highlighting the plant's most recent pharmacological advancements. With both conventional and pharmaceutical applications, B. racemosa offers enormous therapeutic promise for treating a wide range of illnesses. The phytochemical investigations also made use of the leaf and bark samples. Alkaloids, oil, fat glycoside, carbohydrates, phenolics, tannins, lignin, saponins, flavonoids, and terpenoids were found, according to the results of the phytochemical examination. The goal of the current study was to assess the stem bark of Bauhinia racemosa (MEBR) (Caesalpiniaceae) methanolic extract's antioxidant and antibacterial properties in a variety of conditions. MEBR exhibited broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against every microbe that was put to the test. The current study's findings suggest that MEBR may be a good source of naturally occurring antibacterial and antioxidant compounds.
