Achyranthes aspera is a medicinal plant used in various traditional systems of medicine, including Ayurveda and Unani. Phytochemical analysis has revealed the presence of compounds like achyranthine, betaine, and saponins. Pharmacological studies have confirmed its potential in treating various diseases. Further research is needed to fully explore its therapeutic potential and to isolate and characterize its bioactive compounds.
