The present study entitled “Apple Economy in Shimla” was undertaken with a vision to study economic part of apple production. This study has been conducted in district Shimla in the state of Himachal Pradesh in the Indian Himalayas. The study is based on Primary data. Study sample was drawn using snow ball sampling method by taking representative sample of 40 orchardist households. In this sampling we categorized farmers into five categories on the bases of land they have. Marginal Farmers are those who have land up to 0-1-hectare, small farmers are those who have land up to 1-2 hectare, semi-medium have land up to 2–3-hectare, medium have land up to 3-4 hectare and large farmers have land up to 4 or more than 4 hectares. In this are more than 50% people are cultivator. On the bases of primary data, we found that average production of different category is increasing every year. Total average production of royal in 2018 is 757 and 866 in 2020. The average annual income of different category farmers varies from 2,00,000 to 40,00,000. Total average annual income in 2011 was 3,16,795 and in 2020 it is 8,13,125. Total average fixed cost per hectare is 56,162, labor cost is 32,316 and Fertilizer/Pesticide cost is 42,050 respectively. total Average fixed cost per tree is 209, labor cost is 134 per tree and Fertilizer/Pesticide cost is 174 per tree. In study area people mainly face the problem of climatically change. Due to that there is problem in flowing, setting and less production.
