This empirical study explores the critical role of commercial banks in promoting rural entrepreneurship, which is essential for economic development, poverty alleviation, and social empowerment in rural areas. The study examines how commercial banks facilitate access to finance, provide tailored financial products, and offer financial literacy programs to support rural entrepreneurs in overcoming challenges such as limited capital, lack of collateral and financial exclusion. The findings suggest that commercial banks play a pivotal role in bridging the financial gap faced by rural entrepreneurs, enabling them to start, sustain, and grow their businesses. However, the study also identifies areas for improvement, including the need for greater collaboration between banks and other stakeholders, and the necessity for banks to continuously adapt their services to the evolving needs of rural communities. In conclusion, the study emphasizes that while commercial banks have made significant contributions to promoting rural entrepreneurship, ongoing efforts to innovate and enhance their services will be crucial in maximizing their impact on rural economic development.
