Abstract
Increasing population, faulty irrigation practices, urbanization, and industrialization have pressurized water demand, especially, in developing countries. The problem gets aggravated by erratic patterns of rainfall which leads to dropping levels of the groundwater table. A watershed, therefore, actsas water supplyfor irrigationand water management. The management ofsuchareas becomes mand ore important for developing the groundwater reserve. Hence, watershed management is taken into account considering an important part of sustainable development.
