DUSTA VRANA has been reported in Ayurvedic literature by Acharya Charaka, Acharya Sushruta, Acharya Vagbhatta, and Acharya Madhava . The symptoms of dusta vrana include the following: bad odour, constant pus discharge, cavity formation, etc.. Ayurveda offers numerous prophylactic measures as well as total illness cures with very little probability of recurrence. By employing the right wound care methods, at least 40% of amputations in diabetes patients can be avoided. Acharya Sushruta described treatment modes like Shashti upkrama (sixty varieties of treatment modalities) , Saptopkrama (sevan modalities of treatment) , for better wound healing and minimal scar formation. To accomplish the primary objective of wound healing, shodhana (purification) using Guduchi kasaya & Tiladi lepa (external application)[ is an excellent management procedure to fulfil the primary objective of wound healing process to accomplish wound healing's primary objective.
